I hate Facebook

I hate that it has me in its clutches. I feel like I can’t leave.

To leave Facebook is to leave family and friends and acquaintances. It is to leave business contacts, clients, and customers. It means leaving a community.

Community. “A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.”

Sure I feel that fellowship, but for what percentage of the time I spend there? How much more often am I simply scrolling, or worse, getting upset at people who don’t share common attitudes, interests, and goals?

Is it worth it?
